"I am a tenured college professor with approximately 20 years of college-level teaching experience. I teach in the biological sciences and currently focus on human physiology and human anatomy. Today, almost all of my students are pre-nursing students with a handful of other pre-health science students. I have also taught college-level microbiology, biology for majors, biology for non-majors, human sexuality, botany, and advanced plant physiology. In addition to these other subjects, I am happy to help students with any level of reading and/or writing and TEAS/ATI preparation. I earned an M.S. in Biology in 2003 with an emphasis in neurobiology and a doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2021. Teaching is my life’s passion because there is nothing more rewarding than helping others achieve their academic goals.

My role as an educator is not limited to teaching academics. I believe it is also my responsibility to teach students to learn. This additional learning includes understanding and awareness of our thought and learning processes (metacognition). I am also a teacher of self-advocacy and critical thinking.
