"I was born and bred in the band culture of Texas. I studied and taught in the suburbs of Dallas for seven years. Only for ten months in the middle of this time in Texas did I move away to Sarajevo, Bosnia to play horn with the Sarajevo Philharmonic. In the spring of 2017 my horn teacher informed me that he would be moving to Germany for a new job and that I needed to continue my studies with his favorite professor in Boston.

I have now completed my Master's degree and shall begin the Performance Diploma in the Fall. I took a break from teaching during the Master's degree. I found myself only free-lancing as a performer, who regularly plays with the Boston Civic orchestra, or tutoring my DMA candidate friends through their qualifying exams. I am ready to help others with all of the knowledge I have gained with this new degree and I hope I am the right tutor for you!

I have undergraduate degrees in both Music Theory and Performance on Horn. I was raised on music, I was able to read music before English made any sense on paper and taking state-led music theory and history exams from the age of 4! I have also studied horn for 15 years and worked professionally around the world for 7 of those. During my full-time teaching years in Dallas I had a studio of 40+ students I would see on a weekly basis, 30% of which were beginners.

It has been two years since I left Texas and I still receive phone calls from old students and parents asking for FaceTime lessons. I receive emails of excitement when they succeed in All-Region auditions and questions in search of a second opinion.
