"My name is Thalia, and I graduated from Macalester College in May 2012. I have experience tutoring students of all ages and levels. I was a Theatre Major because I have always been passionate about the arts, performance especially. I always have a creative project in the works! I have written short novels, created solo performance pieces, and made fun masks. While I was abroad in Paris, I trained in physical performance - this included mime, acrobatics, trapeze, and classic dance. My mother is French and my father is American, so we lived in France for the first seven years of my life before moving to the United States. I decided to be a French Minor at Macalester College in order to further my french fluency, both written and orally. My work acting, singing, and dancing in plays in the local Twin Cities Theatre scene has taught me values and important lessons in communication, presence, and fun. These are values I bring to my tutoring - I am as engaged in teaching as I am in learning. I love to pass on my passion for learning, the arts, and french culture to students who have passions of their own and are finding their place in the world.
