"Hello I'm Ian, I graduated from the College of New Jersey with a Bachelors in Math in May 2018. I've developed a interest in Mathematics since middle school that has only grown. I have about 100+ hours of tutoring elementary school, middle school and high school. I love watching students success and there eyes light up when they learn what they are doing and correct mistakes. I like tutoring because I think the one on one in a ideal world is the best medium for teaching students any subject the interaction can't be matched. The transfer of knowledge from Teacher to student is what interests me because it means that now the student can transfer what I taught them so that they may use in there own lives. As for my teaching philosophy I believe in learning by examples I set up problems in areas the student is struggling in an access how they do things and when they make a mistake I teach them to correct them and then work on more examples for enhanced comprehension. Once they understand we move on to more problems until mastery is obtained. When time is up I have materials ready for the student to work on for extra practice so that they can work on there own to see if they understood what I taught them. Currently a graduate student in Mathematics at Rowan University.

I think what makes me a outstanding math tutor is I have patience and willingness to go the extra mile and create materials so that the student may show success. I have experience tutoring Algebra 1 and pre algebra and even some elementary school math along with tutoring every type of High school math and College math from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus and college math courses up to Calculus 3. I feel that I am fully capable of tutoring any high school math course having taken Calculus 1 through Calculus 3 and even a advanced Calculus course that shows some of the inner workings of Calculus using Topology.
