I have over seven years of elementary classroom teaching experience and two years of English language teaching experience. I have earned degrees from two accredited universities in both areas.

Over my tenure in education, I see no greater benefit than one-on-one or small group instruction.

With that one-on-one approach I can quickly assess the student's weaknesses and prepare activities, assignments, or hands-on materials that will lead to greater academic success or the ability to grasp the English language quickly.

Consider my approach a less stressful, "fun" approach. I try to plan activities that don't mimic the typical school day as classroom teaching is my "day job". Tutoring should be a less rigorous approach for both the teacher and the student.

When it comes to learning the English language, I don't just stop with vocabulary knowledge. I hold high expectations for my students and anticipate them to be well rounded in all facets of their freshly acquired language. There should not only be a large emphasis on the spoken language but in other areas such as reading, listening, and writing as well.
