I am a certified special educator in the state of Maryland with almost five years of teaching experience. Before the fall of 2019, I worked as an assistant teacher and behavior technician from 2013-2019. While I do have a lot of ABA experience, I try not approach autism with an ABA approach. I believe everyone can learn! Just because someone does not learn the way most people do does not make them unable to learn.

As a teacher, I have taught mostly high school English (and remedial English programs), but have also taught 9th grade Earth and Space Science and financial literacy. I am open to tutoring math, but I approach that as someone with a math disability helping others with learning disabilities learn math... still not my strong suit.

I am currently open to tutor students ages 8-adult. While I specialize in special education, I am more than capable of tutoring students in the general education environment. I begin a new public school teaching position in the middle of August, and I am looking to pick up some summer tutoring hours." less...
