"My name is Dr. Z and I love to teach! I graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Human Biology and a minor in Chemistry and then from Duke University with my Doctor of Medicine (MD). I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and ACT and the 95th percentile on the MCAT (medical school entrance exam). I’m currently on a break from hospital medicine, but I can’t ever shake the teaching bug - even on a holiday!

I have been a tutor in my spare time informally since I was in high school and formally since 2011. My goals in tutoring are not just to help with homework but to give my students a deep understanding of essential concepts (with memorable if wacky examples), problem solving skills that are applicable anywhere, and the same love for learning that I have!

My subjects: math (up to Pre-Calculus and Statistics), science (up to college intro Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), writing and essay revision, and college and pre-medical advising and personal statement revisions.
