"I am a theoretical physicist educated at MIT in Cambridge, MA. I have extensive teaching experience in physics at Wesleyan University, MIT, and Harvard University while a PhD student at MIT. My specialty is theoretical astrophysics with a deep interest in the theoretical structure and evolution of stellar objects ranging from conventional stars to neutron stars, white dwarfs, quark stars, and black holes. I plan on returning to MIT to finish writing and defending my PhD thesis on the age of the oldest stars in the universe.
I have been teaching physics for the past 20 years in both academia and as a private consultant and tutor. I can provide guidance in courses ranging from high school AP and introductory college physics up through undergraduate and graduate level quantum mechanics, quantum physics, classical dynamics, classical mechanics, statistical mechanics, electrodynamics, electromagnetism, fluid mechanics, fluid dynamics, astronomy, theoretical astrophysics, general relativity, cosmology, relativistic quantum field theory, quantum engineering, nuclear physics, particle physics, atomic physics, non-linear dynamics and chaos theory, and mathematical methods of physics.
I have engaged in physics and astrophysics research at MIT, Caltech, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), won a summer fellowship to the Sante Fe Institute (SFI), and have been invited twice to the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Physics (KITP).
I can also provide guidance for the intelligent and inquisitive layman reading current non-professional literature who desires intuitive, non-mathematical explanations of our physical universe from the quantum to the cosmological.
Please feel free to contact me anytime to share any thoughts you have with any of your physics courses. I will listen and offer a plan of assistance customized to your specific requirements." less...
