"I have over 20 years of teaching experience. In that time I have had the pleasure to teach many types of students with varying learning challenges. My current focus is mainly on students on the autism spectrum with or without communication disorders. I also help students with ADD/ADHD and dyslexia.

Personally, I fall into the category of high-functioning autism and have found ways to make the best use of a skill set that is different from others. This also gives me a unique insight into learning disabilities and the challenges of students with special needs. The parents of the children I work with are generally amazed at how quickly their child will open up and make a connection with me. This helps immensely with communication disorders as a level of trust and genuine interest is required to make progress.

I am extremely patient and kind. My expertise allows me to quickly identify the needs of the student and make a plan toward academic and whole life success. When I accept a child as a student I will never give up on them.
