"I received a PhD in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Munich, Germany, in 1983 and began teaching as an Adjunct lecturer at the City College of Chicago on the U.S. Military base in Germany. After U.S. Forces moved out of the Munich area I took on a position as Director of Course at a private language school. In 1998, I moved to The Netherlands and began teaching at a private International school, teaching European history, social studies and Philosophy at the High School level. Since that time until 2015, I have taught those same courses at International schools in Moscow, Pakistan, Bahrain, Gaza, Morocco, Bangladesh and Azerbaijan. I have also served as Department Head of Humanities in two International Schools as well as Curriculum Coordinator. I am currently an examiner for Social Anthropology with the International Baccalaureate.

My academic qualifications as well as practical-experiences gained throughout the world have bestowed me with a wealth of common core knowledge.

The world we are living in today is putting more and more pressure on us to know and understand cultural diversity. It should be obvious that all cultures have different values and beliefs from our own, and the key to a better understanding of these diversities is to learn about: the history, the social organizations and the various cultures of the world. Whether it is for business, travel or to better understand world politics and economics, it is essential to know the world we share.
