"Please call me Metey. I specialize in teaching students how to approach problems creatively and inventively—an increasingly vital skill in today’s fast-paced, ever-changing world. My goal is not just to help students improve their test scores in mathematics but to equip them with problem-solving tools they can apply in real life. These skills will serve them well, whether their path leads to college, graduate school, or a professional career.
At the foundational level, I focus on topics like mathematics and computer science. For more advanced students, I offer guidance in specialized areas such as Vedic mathematics, flow optimization, and deep problem-solving techniques for tackling complex challenges.
A bit about my background: I come from a family of educators. My first mentors were my father and older brother, both accomplished mathematicians and teachers. After immigrating to the U.S., I had the unique opportunity to teach mathematics at my own high school, marking the beginning of my 20+ years of teaching experience. Academically, I hold a Ph.D. in Probability. I have completed advanced coursework across various disciplines and have had opportunity to apply these professionally at various companies. The fields include Number Theory, Topology, Computational Learning Theory, Blockchain, and Algorithm Integrity. This diverse educational background enables me to tailor my teaching to the unique needs of each student, fostering both confidence and mastery." less...
