"My name is Liz! An enthusiastic & patient private tutor for 2+ years with math as my first language and marketing as my second. My college GPA is 3.8 and I graduated high school a year early with a 4.0 GPA. One of my many passions is "giving back" to my community through education and pursuing learning with a growth mindset. I focus on mastering the fundamentals of concepts, which get carried through to advanced topics. Some highlights of my teaching style are flexibility, adaptability, patience, and learning not to get frustrated when mistakes happen. As I come close to graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Math + Business Administration, an essential skill I have mastered is patience with myself and taking advantage of resources. It took me a variety of trial and error to discover what worked best for me as a learner. Born and raised in Ukraine, I have also developed strong explaining skills. As a student with English as a second language, it was challenging to comprehend my professor's lectures. As a result, I have learned what I looked for as a student and strive to provide the same back to my students for easy comprehension.
When I work with my students, I provide personalized learning styles and resources that are best fit for them. One of my most important values as a tutor is being personable and helping them achieve their academic goals while seeing results. If needed, I am more than happy to adjust my teaching style for those with ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning disabilities. Also, please never hesitate to discuss rate adjustments if needed. I never want my students to worry about finance being a barrier to their success.
My experience includes being a teaching assistant, vice president of a society of women engineers, certified in marketing, and much more. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson! I look forward to helping you grow and being a profound milestone in your academic journey!" less...
