I am a secondary social studies educator who has been teaching US Government, World History II, US History, Economics, and English for the past 10 years. I am an Idaho native and have lived in Moscow, ID since 2005. I received a bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Social Sciences from the University of Idaho (UI) in 2011 and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, also from UI. I have been married for 12 years to Kate and have 3 sons: Liam (9), Finn (6), and Milo (1). My hobbies include playing bass guitar and drawing. I also have several creative side jobs such as creating graphic art, officiating weddings and funerals, podcasting, making short films, and voice work.
In January of 2020, I took a semester-long leave of absence to embark on a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching fellowship in the Netherlands that was sadly cut short after the outbreak of COVID-19.
I am a secondary social studies educator who has been teaching US Government, World History II, US History, Economics, and English for the past 10 years. I am passionate about History, specifically the Historians craft. History isn't just memorization of a bunch of facts and figures, but is about analyzing evidence and learning a story.
I am an artist on the side and also have a passion for history. I have visited the major art museums in New York, Seattle, Vatican City, Florence, Rome, Amsterdam, London, and Haarlem.
