"I am Stephanie. As a kid, I would always participate in math-related competitions. In 2nd grade, my teachers made me take a test because they realized how savvy I was in math; they sent me to 4th grade the following year, in which I was at the top of my class. I immigrated to the United States in 2018; I was supposed to be a senior. The school gave my parents the option to enroll me in 11th or 12th grade. Because of my language barrier and being 16, they chose the 11th-grade option. The school enrolled me in Pre-Calculus Honors based on my earlier report cards. Despite being influent in English, I was relieved because math is mostly numbers, and I loved it. In December 2018, I took my EOC Algebra and passed with a score of 198. By the end of 11th grade, I had completed the four credits in Math. In 12th, I wanted a have a math class, so I got enrolled in Calculus Honors, where I got an A on every report card. During my two academic years in the U.S, I received three straight As Honor Roll and two A & B Honor Roll. I also received two medallions for academic excellence and graduated in 2020. I am currently pursuing an engineering career that keeps my math skills updated.
I am savvy in Algebra 1 & 2, pre-calculus, and Elementary math. I tutored in High School for free to help my struggling classmates pass their Algebra requirements. I tutored my little sister in Algebra. I tutored an 11-year-old boy in 5th grade for five months. He went from being at the bottom to the top. Being taught math from a francophone country and the U.S set me apart and eased the tutoring process. It helped me discover ways to teach the tutee and get to the next level. I love math, and I always received great feedback from classmates and parents of kids who have tutored, so I am taking that opportunity to offer my services to a vaster audience.
My goal as a math tutor is to help you improve. I am easy to reach and will always give fast responses. Feel free to contact me for more questions or schedule a tutoring session." less...
