"I have worked as a teacher for several years.

I have taught Psychology and Humanities at the college level and History and English at the high school level.

I have wide experience in tutoring as well. I have successfully tutored students who were preparing to take the SAT and the GRE exams. Our preparation for these exams consisted of both the verbal and mathematical components. I have also tutored students for the GED exam, and over 90% of them went on to receive their GED’s.

On occasion, parents have approached me and asked me to teach their child to read. I have done this using a system that I devised which employs color-coding for the letters of the alphabet. They too became quick and efficient readers.

My approach to teaching and tutoring is student-centered. I take the student where he (she) is at, and react to what he tells me, rather than superimposing information on him. I live near a public library and this has proven suitable for tutoring sessions.
