"I am a student at Purdue University currently pursuing a dual major in Computer Science and Psychology. Some of my academic achievements include obtaining a 5 of 5 on the AP Computer Science Principles, AP Calculus AB, AP Chemistry, and AP Chinese (self-study) exams. I've also obtained a 4 of 5 on the AP Computer Science A exam as a self-study and a 1510 on the SAT with a perfect math score. Furthermore, I have experience in competitive programming, being a 3 time American Computer Science League finalist, and have competed in USACO Silver.
My tutoring journey officially began as part of my high school's National Honors Society, where I've tutored in Algebra 2 and Chemistry. Outside of the National Honors Society, I've also tended to Robotics members who were interested in learning Java and Programming Club members learning C++. Some family friends have even requested that I teach their children some Computer Science topics. Coming out of high school, I decided to do tutoring over online platforms, previously doing tutoring on Varsity Tutors where I've tutored primarily in Mathematics but was also open to Computer Programming and Chinese. My tutoring style often involves tailoring my lessons to the student. Not only will I adapt to the student's learning style, but I strongly believe that students learn more effectively if they feel more included in a lesson. I have more experience with high schoolers one-on-one, but I'm also comfortable with tutoring younger children or tutoring in a small group setting." less...
