"I have played saxophone, clarinet, and flute for over 30 years and have performed in jazz ensembles, orchestras, rock and pop bands, and musical theatre. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Jazz Composition and Performance from Berklee College of Music, graduating with a 3.72 GPA. Upon graduation I worked for several years as a professional performer on cruise ships, playing saxophones, flute, and clarinet, and also took on a role as musical director during one of my contracts.

I moved to Los Angeles after my last cruise ship contract to work in the film and television industry as a composer. I have scored multiple short films, one feature film, and an award-winning documentary. In my composing role, I have worked a great deal, not only in composing but also in music production, having worked with multiple software applications and in several musical genres.

Throughout my professional career, I have also taught private music instruction on saxophone, flute, and clarinet to students ranging from middle school age through adult. I have also tutored adults in music production, composition, and theory. I feel it's important to tailor instruction to suit the student. Not all students learn the same way, and this is also true depending on the age of the student. I try to inspire my students to learn as much as they can and want to. I find music not only helps students expand their creativity but also aids in learning that applies to other subjects.
