"I am a University of Michigan sophomore, majoring in Philosophy, and a graduate of South Lyon High School, Class of 2023. During high school, I served as NHS secretary and swim team captain, roles that anchored my sense of leadership and adaptability. But, what likely was most important was my tutoring. Beyond academics, I’ve taught swimming to children aged 1 to 14 for several years. Whether helping a child build trust in the water or solving a system of equations, I prioritize building confidence alongside skill. Progress becomes the foundation of excellence.
Academically, my strengths lie in history, English, philosophy, political science, and literature, as well as high school math. My high SAT and PSAT scores earned me National Merit Semifinalist recognition, and my experience with standardized tests helps me guide students in achieving their own success. Whether it’s mastering a tricky concept or navigating test prep, I equip students with skills and confidence.
Ultimately, my goal isn’t just to help students master subjects—it’s to cultivate the skills to think critically, learn effectively, and approach challenges with confidence. That process, and the growth it fosters, that is what I aim to provide your student." less...
