"I graduated with a BA in Economics and a minor in Mathematics in 2015 from Vassar College. In 2021, I earned a masters degree in Economics from Stanford, and I have also taken PhD level coursework in the field. Over the course of my academic career, I have developed a passion for teaching. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the "aha moment" when explaining a difficult subject to a student.

In my tutoring, I try to strike a balance between lecturing and giving students time to work through material on their own. Most of my tutoring experience is in economics, but given the strongly quantitative nature of my field of study, I am also comfortable helping students with various math courses at both the high school and college level.

I have four years of tutoring experience. While completing my undergraduate degree, I worked at Vassar's Quantitative Reasoning Center, providing assistance for students in various economics courses. For the past three years, I have privately tutored college students in economics, econometrics, and statistics.

Additionally, I have two years of experience as a teaching assistant at Stanford. My responsibilities as a TA included teaching lessons to groups of 10-30 students as well as holding office hours where students can stop by and ask questions related to course material. Classes I have TA-ed for include: introductory economics, microeconomics, and graduate-level econometrics. In Fall 2019, I won my department's Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, with an honorary mention for the same award in Spring 2020.

I strive to be as helpful to my students as possible, and so I welcome any resources that students or parents can provide. Feel free to contact me with any questions, or to schedule a meeting." less...
