"I’ve been employed as a substitute teacher for three years working with students grades 3-12. I have a ELA credential and specialize in reading comprehension, and writing.

My tutoring approach is to establish a rapport with the student and encourage him or her to be actively involved in bettering their ELA skills. I like to meet once a week in a neutral environment like the community library to minimize distractions and have access to supplemental resources. I provide updates regularly to the parents in person.

My experience encompasses working with special education students as well as mainstream students who may excel in other subjects but struggle with ELA, reading, writing and studying habits.

My degree in Communications and working as an ELA substitute teacher for grades 3-12 has enabled me to understand the unique needs of students who find ELA, reading and writing challenging.
