"My name is Jesus, and I have a profound interest in statistics and research methodology, specifically as it pertains to social science. I recently received my master’s degree in psychology from California State University, Northridge, where I also earned the Donald Butler Quantitative Research Award! My research focuses on the use of Item Response Theory models for measurement applications; the handling of missing data; factor analysis; and just about anything in the scope of quantitative methodology.

A huge part of why I want to teach/tutor is to show newer students (specially those in social science) that math and quantitative analyses are nothing to be afraid of! Rather, I place a huge emphasis on understanding intuition and critical reasoning in statistical and methodological domains. I hope that this insight will motivate students to embrace the math that goes into research, as well as providing a foundation for them to become successful at what they do.
