"I’m Gabrielle! I recently graduated from Columbia University with an M.A. in Human Rights Studies (4.0 GPA) and have a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from Amherst College. At Columbia, I served as a graduate teaching assistant in human rights and tutored students enrolled in an undergraduate philosophy course provided by Columbia’s Justice-in-Education Initiative. I have additional experience as a GED/TASC tutor, specializing in the reading, writing, science, and social studies sections. I have tutored students in one-on-one and group settings and am available for in-person and online tutoring sessions. Although most of my students have been teenagers and adults, I have experience working with children as a camp counselor.
In previous positions at Columbia University, Harvard Law School, New Village Press, and various nonprofit organizations, I reviewed student essays, academic articles, research reports, book proposals and manuscripts, and course materials. I structure (and adjust) my lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students and set aside time to learn students’ interests and goals. I love working with new students and look forward to hearing from you! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session!" less...
