"My undergraduate degree was in music. I have studied music since I was six years old. I have taught music privately since 1984. I have regularly required my music students to complete music theory assignments. I have teach a variety of instruments including piano, vocals, strings, brass, etc.

I have been a teacher for several years. I love to teach. I have taught math (all levels), sciences (biology, chemistry, physics), music (each one of my children plays at least three instruments each).

I help as a writing coach for book reports and research projects. I speak publicly to groups of people on how their life can change in order to affect family change whereby their community will be changed.

My goal as a teacher is to help you to discover how to solve your questions. You will discover there are usually a variety of ways to find a solution. We will utilize your textbook and class notes as well as alternate ways of finding solutions. I may assign homework after each session.

I have always enjoyed math. Numbers just makes sense to me....but not everyone. I will help you find what will make the numbers work for you.

I enjoy people of other cultures. I have a limited understanding of Spanish. I have studied other languages from a musical standpoint (translation in order to sing). I have helped teach children as they began to read. I have compassion for those not understanding the English language and desire to help them learn English in order to better assimilate into our community.
