"I am a licensed Japanese teacher in the state of Massachusetts. I have spent over 15 years tutoring Japanese both privately and in a university tutoring center. I also co-taught a university level Japanese class as part of my duties as a teaching assistant and I’ve TA'd for classes in Japanese literature and writing intensive courses as well.

I first became interested in Japanese through manga and anime although I didn't start studying the language in earnest until I was 21 or 22. I started off with a year of self-study before enrolling in classes.

Since then, I have studied abroad in Japan for a year, passed the JLPT N2, earned a Master's Degree in the language and worked in Miyazaki Prefecture, teaching English there for three years.

I am currently working toward passing the JLPT N1 and ACTFL's OPI at the advanced level.

I tutor Study Skills, ESL and Writing as well.
