"Hi there. I have been in education for 15 years. I have a BS degree from UGA in Family and Child Development. I received my elementary education certification from Brenau University. I earned a MS in reading/literacy from Walden University. And I earned my Ed.S. in leadership/administration from Lincoln Memorial University.

I have taught everything from preK to fifth grade. My strength in teaching is being able to identify learning styles and then teach to that style. I spent the last 3 years of my teaching career working with students that needed extra help in mastering the concepts and content in reading and math. And I have spent 3 years working as a tutor to help students who need extra help or an extra push to succeed and excel in their schooling.

In order to determine what my students need, I spend time getting to know them on a personal level - their likes and dislikes - as well as getting a sample of their work. Looking at what they can do and how they approach their learning helps me to see what I need to do to help students help themselves. I believe that students/children can be successful when they take ownership in their learning. They can only do that when they know how they learn best, feel comfortable asking questions when they don't understand, and ultimately learn to love the learning process.

Helping your student become a lifelong learner is my objective!
