"Dear Student,
Learning chemistry, as with learning any other subject, becomes much easier with your active participation and strong motivation. Therefore, to begin with, it should be clear to you: what you want to learn, and why you want to learn chemistry. Setting a goal is about the half way to the success.
To put the importance of chemistry in a few sentences: It is everywhere in our daily life: medicines that cure deceases and promote wellness, chemicals that cause pollution and reagents that threaten our security, all fundamentally depend upon chemistry.
I believe that genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent preparation. I want my students to be willing to do their homework, prepare for the materials, and ask questions.
Now a little bit about myself:
I have a Ph.D in chemistry; I have been in the states over 20 years; I reached the 99th percentile in chemistry GRE when I applied for grad-schools; I instructed over 400 undergrad students during the grad-school years; I have been working in medical device companies for 10 years.
Thanks." less...
