"Hi, I'm Peter! I’ve been tutoring since 2020. Since then, I’ve helped countless students improve their grades and understanding in math and physics courses, both at the high school and college level. Many of my high school students have gotten 5s on their AP exams, and gone on to reputable universities. I got my Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley, minoring in Theater and Performance Studies. I’ve always had a passion for learning and understanding new things, and I want to bring that joy and passion to other people!
As an engineer, I've developed a strong understanding and command of Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Physics, and their applications to real world problems. I’ve developed the ability to communicate that knowledge effectively through my theater experience. My approach to tutoring usually involves real world applications of concepts being taught, then teaching the ability to generalize and abstract the problem into its core, solvable components. I also understand that tutoring is a learning experience for myself: I need to learn the best way to teach each student. As such, I make sure to revise and adapt lesson plans as I continue to teach a student, tailoring the learning experience to best suit them.
I want to help the students with whom I work as much as possible. Furthermore, I hope to aid my students in finding the same curiosity and passion for learning as I have! Please feel free to contact me with further questions, or to schedule a lesson!" less...
