"Hi there! My name is Joyce and I recently graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. My teaching experience includes being the Head TA for EECS 16A, an engineering and computer science course at UC Berkeley. For the past 2 years, I have taught hundreds of students in concepts of linear algebra, circuit analysis, computer programming, and machine learning. As a TA, I received the Outstanding GSI (Graduate Student Instructor) award for my teaching in the EECS department of UC Berkeley.

My passion for teaching students doesn't stop in teaching at Berkeley! I’ve also tutored underprivileged high school students on a weekly basis in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and AP Calculus. I truly believe that every student deserves access to quality education and I'm honored to be a part of their journey towards academic success. I understand that each student has unique strengths and weaknesses, and that a good teacher must be able to recognize and tailor their approach to fit each student's individual needs. That's why I take great pride in making my classes and tutoring sessions fun and engaging. From funny analogies to interactive games, I do whatever is best to ensure that my students enjoy learning and stay motivated to succeed. I'm also keenly aware that each student has their own personality and learning style. As a tutor, I'm always paying attention to how my students learn best, and I adjust my teaching methods accordingly. This means that I strive to be patient, understanding, and always ready to adapt to each student's needs.
