"I'm a senior at UC Berkeley double majoring in Data Science and Economics. In high school, I had straight As in all math classes (geometry, Algebra 2, Pre Calc, AP Calc BC, and AP Statistics). I received 5s on both of those AP exams. I have a 4.0 GPA in university so far and have taken Calc II (infinite series, power series, differential equations), Linear Algebra, and Probability Theory (expectation, conditioning, random variables, linear regression, densities, gamma distributions, etc).

I've had a three semesters of experience working for UC Berkeley as an undergraduate instructor for Statistics courses, as well as three years of experience in high school privately tutoring Math anywhere from elementary to calculus level.

My primary belief in education is that every student has the capability to succeed with the right support. I've had the good fortune of being taught by some truly wonderful instructors in my life and have come to realize that the primary factor differentiating a class from being good or bad, easy or hard, is not the material at hand, but the way in which it's presented and taught. I also am keenly aware of different learning styles and how they can impact the success students have when interacting with the curriculum. As such, my goal in tutoring is to create a supportive and welcoming environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions and there is plenty of open communication. I hope to impart upon them the skills they need to succeed on their own without a tutor, and of course verify their understanding at every level." less...
