"Hi, I'm Evan. I’m currently a junior at UC Berkeley majoring in data science. In high school, I graduated at the top of my class with a 4.88 weighted GPA. I have extensive experience with test prep in various subjects (SAT, AP BC Calculus, AP Precalc, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C, and AP Econ).

I started tutoring in high school, initially only to my classmates. From that point on, I expanded beyond teaching my classmates to tutoring students of all ages ranging from elementary school students to adults through local tutoring organizations. This experience made me fall in love with teaching, as I greatly enjoyed witnessing my students’ academic progress and growth. Through this experience, I gained valuable insight into common errors students make and patterns on exams that I hope to share with my students.

In my AP classes, I have received 5s in AP BC Calculus, AP Physics, AP Language & Composition, and AP Micro/Macro Economics.

I also have a lot of experience in preparing for the SAT and PSAT. I am a national merit semifinalist with a score of 1490 on the PSAT. Additionally, I also received a 1570 on my SAT- where I improved my score by over 100 points through doing extensive amounts of practice exams and pacing/timed exercises for each subject.

Besides my academic qualifications, I am genuinely interested in connecting with my students and hope to inspire them to be engaged in what they are learning. As your tutor, I ensure to maintain a transparent communication channel with the students and parents, making sure to adapt my teaching or provide additional resources to best fit the student’s individual needs.
