I'm a recent graduate of the University of Chicago tutoring full time before I head to graduate school. I've been passionate about biology and chemistry my whole life, and I'm excited to explore the field with you!

I've been tutoring organic chemistry, general chemistry and biology through my university, one of the highest ranked for chemistry in the world, for 2 years. I've also been tutoring high schoolers in chemistry, biology, math, and programming freelance for 4 years, and have taught programming and game design to middle and high schoolers at Lavner Education's tech summer camp.

I love to get exploratory in my tutoring and dig into the fundamentals of chemical and biological systems. It's my belief that understanding the core principles of structure and reactivity saves hours of rote memorization. Often, students in biology and chemistry will feel as though they just need to memorize endless formulas over and over again -- this is not the case! When organic chemistry is taught right, reactions and mechanisms all feel intuitive! And when you understand the underlying principles, you'll only have to go over the reaction a few times to memorize it. This is equally true for biology, where sometimes we get lost in the minute processes and forget to see the proverbial forest for the trees.
