I have loads of experience helping students master the fundamentals of R and graduate-level statistics. I served as a teaching assistant at the University of Chicago (2020-23) for 4 graduate-level courses and 6 different professors, working with 200+ students to master the basics of statistics, programming, policy analysis, and persuasive policy writing. In addition to offering regular 1:1 tutoring, I led weekly 2-hour ‘R Bar’ trainings where our class of ~25 students would use R to answer challenging policy questions with real-world data (it was a blast!).
I also have ample experience using R and statistics in professional settings. For nearly 4 years I worked as an economic and public policy consultant in Washington D.C. I led the design, implementation, and evaluation of multiple Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) for FEMA and the U.S. National Flood Insurance Program, each involving hundreds of thousands of households. I also led all R-related trainings for our firm and worked with new hires throughout their analytical onboarding.
I earned my economics degree (with honors) from Washington University in St. Louis in 2015. In 2023 I graduated from the University of Chicago with an MBA (Booth School) and quant-heavy Masters of Public Policy (Harris School).
I now live in Seattle and work in a strategy function at a major tech firm. I love rock climbing, tending to my out-of-control houseplant collection, and waking up stupidly early to watch English soccer on the weekends.
