"Hi! I’m Akshay, an undergrad at The University of Chicago, studying Computational and Applied Mathematics & Economics, and a current intern in quantitative trading in the financial markets. I’ve been tutoring students of all ages for several years, with a particular focus on the SAT, ISEE, and SSAT. Having scored in the 99th percentile on both SAT Math and Reading, a perfect 800 on SAT Math II, and top stanine scores on the ISEE, I know how tough these tests can be. I love helping students reach their full potential through personalized test prep, practice tests, and custom learning plans.

In addition to test prep, my background in math, data, and economics gives me a solid foundation to tutor subjects like Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus. I’m also experienced with programming in R and Python, having used both languages during internships in cancer research and investment research. My research even earned me a spot as an International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Finalist and 1st place in the New York Metro Area. I started tutoring back in high school, volunteering at my local library to help kids with homework and teach chess.
