"Hi! My name is Shayli, and I am a senior at the University of Chicago, majoring in Biology and Economics. At UChicago, I'm involved in an impact investing group, Greek life, and a program that provides free tutoring to elementary and middle school students on the South Side of Chicago.

As part of my biology major, I've excelled in courses like General Chemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Physiology, and Genetics. In high school, I took AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus AB, and graduated Cum Laude.

I love teaching! During high school, I worked with local libraries, Girl Scout troops, and schools, creating and teaching my own STEM curriculum to make STEM education more accessible. I have also done 1-on-1 tutoring with students from elementary through high school in introductory Biology and Chemistry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Trigonometry.

Learning new content can be frustrating, but I aim to give students the tools and confidence they need to excel in math and science and find fun in the process.
