Before moving to Los Angeles, I worked as a research assistant for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, DC. I have two years of professional tutoring experience working for companies such as Mathnasium and Varsity Tutors and specialize in the GRE general test and economics graduate school admissions. I am also well-versed in data science methods and several statistical programming languages (i.e., R, Python, SAS, STATA, and SQL).
Graduate School Advising
The application cycle is exhausting. Achieving high test scores, writing a compelling statement of purpose, and applying for external funding can be overwhelming, especially if you have a nine-to-five or are still in school. Having an advocate who can help you plan and stay on track can help applicants produce a greater quality of work while experiencing far less stress. As my client, I can build you a schedule and application timeline that caters to your needs and specific goals.
GRE General Test
I am very familiar with the GRE general test and the most effective test-taking strategies. I teach my students process-based problem-solving strategies so they can approach unfamiliar questions with confidence and improve their consistency. I have taken the GRE in person and virtually and can prepare students to succeed in both testing environments. I took the GRE twice in 2021 and scored 169 (94th percentile) in quantitative reasoning, 164 (94th percentile) in verbal reasoning, and 5 (91st percentile) in analytical writing.
I'm new to the Wyzant platform and am excited to connect with students and young professionals. Reduced pricing is available for students interested in purchasing multiple sessions at a time. Reduced pricing is also available for students belonging to underrepresented groups in economics." less...
