"Hi there! My name is Jack, and I’m a fourth-year medical student at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Spanish. Although I loved living in Washington, DC, I missed the California sun, which is why I am grateful to have had the opportunity to come back and complete my medical training at UCSD.

In 8th grade, I was asked to help tutor a few struggling 2nd graders, and I soon gained a passion for teaching. I have been tutoring ever since, including throughout high school, college, and medical school. I have tutored students of all ages and in all subjects, including biology, chemistry, physics, math, history, English, Spanish, and more.

I took the MCAT in 2019 and received a 521 (99th percentile), with the following subsection scores: Chem/Phys 129, CARS 131, Bio/Biochem 129, Psych/Soc 131. I applied to 26 medical schools in the 2019-2020 application cycle, and I was accepted at 7 of the 8 medical schools I interviewed at. I also served on my medical school's admissions committee for a year.
