I have five years of teaching experience total: two years teaching statistics labs at the University of Michigan, and three years tutoring privately and for Texas A&M University. I recently earned my master's in statistics from UMich, and I have coauthored a paper on mathematical optimization.

What I love most about teaching is the dialogue that lets the student and teacher build a shared understanding piece by piece. I especially enjoy teaching the R programming language, since I think it can be very empowering to be able to place a real-world problem into a statistical framework, explore that framework using code, and then draw real-world conclusions from the results.
