"Hello, I'm Arnav! I'm a current biochemistry undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, also studying Spanish and on the pre-health track. Throughout high school and college, the teachers that I learned the most from–and enjoyed the most–all had one thing in common: they were highly engaging, and truly wished to develop a love for their subject and learning in general in their students. With my students, I want to do the same.

In my lessons, I like to go over topics with students, building up a strong foundation, before delving into common problems and applications that students might often see in their practice. Especially for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT, oftentimes a student’s knowledge of the subject isn’t really tested but instead their knowledge of the test. Working through practice problems allows students to gain a better understanding of the ways that they’ll have to use their knowledge to answer questions correctly. After every lesson, my hope is that the student will have a better appreciation for their subject, and will have had some fun along the way!

In addition to Wyzant, I work as an in-person and online peer tutor at my university, teaching subjects from Spanish to Physics. I’ve had experience tutoring students in some way or another for the past 5 years, and love to get to know new students. Some more of my relevant qualifications include having received scores of 1590 and 36 on the SAT and ACT, respectively, receiving 5’s on the AP Physics C and AP Chemistry exams, and learning Spanish for 6 years.
