"My name is Max and I am currently a sophomore studying chemistry at Tufts University, and am passionate about spreading my curiosity for math and science. I have tutored on several platforms for over three years and specialize in math and science for middle and high schoolers.

From spring 2023 to August 2024 I worked as a math instructor at Mathnasium tutoring students from kindergarten to twelfth grade in various math subjects. In July 2024, I was promoted to lead instructor at my center. I was also a volunteer tutor on the website Schoolhouse. World from August 2022 to May 2023. In addition, since August 2024, I have been an active tutor on Pear Deck for organic chemistry, general chemistry, and general physics.

Through my experiences with Mathnasium and Schoolhouse.world I have developed a problem-oriented approach to tutoring. Instead of simply explaining the answer and the steps to reach the answer to the student, I have found that it is more effective to talk the students through the individual steps first and lead them to the answer.
