"I have taught elementary and junior high school for 8+ years, and have tutored in math since high school. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, with a level 2 Math Endorsement (a step above a math minor) from Utah State University.

Possibly more important than my official qualifications, I love to help others learn. I enjoy (and have experience) helping all ages and abilities of students, from reluctant to enthusiastic and remedial to advanced. I love to learn and to help increase others' understanding and enjoyment of a subject.

I have been told I am a patient tutor, able to increase confidence and enjoyment of a subject. Because of my background as a teacher, I have numerous strategies and supplies to increase understanding. I am familiar with the common core, especially 5th and 6th grade.

I have specialized in teaching 4th to 8th grade math the last 3 years and have seen and helped address many student difficulties. I have helped students struggling through college math courses as well as elementary, junior, and high school.

I love science. I love to do what I can to make science hands-on, and much more than just memorization.
