"I graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I then continued my education with a Masters of Engineering from the Aerospace Department at Texas A & M University. I have known for a long time that I want to spend my career in academia, and I received the opportunity to do so as a teaching assistant at the University of Michigan.
I have been tutoring in different forms since 2012. I have 3.5 years of distance tutoring experience with the Rose-Hulman's AskRose homework help service, where I offered help to mostly K-12 students with topics that covered math, the sciences, and the humanities. I also have a year of experience providing college math and science tutoring services to underclassmen at Texas A & M. While earning my PhD at the University of Michigan, I served as a graduate student instructor within the Aerospace Engineering Department, offering distance learning services to students. During my time there, I oversaw hundreds of students as teaching assistant for seven different courses. I was also an education consultant with the College of Engineering. In this role I aid student instructors on best teaching practices.
The majority of my tutoring experience is in the math and sciences, but I am also comfortable helping students with introductory Spanish and Language Arts. Helping students of all levels and disciplines is my passion, and am very appreciative of any feedback on what things I could improve upon. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or requests to schedule a lesson.
I am fully vaccinated.
I have taken and tutored math at all levels, including the AP Calculus (5 out of 5) and AP Statistics (4 out of 5) exams. I have also taken engineering math courses, and use calculus, differential equations, and statistics every day as an engineering graduate student." less...
