"I received my PhD in Sociology in 2023 and my masters in Sociology with a certificate in Gender Studies. My undergraduate degree was in Global Studies, with a minor in Spanish and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I've been teaching undergraduate college students the last three years. Some of the classes I've taught are fundamental courses, like Intro to Anthropology and Intro to Sociology as well as more specialized courses like Latin American Activism and Qualitative Methods.

I've mentored undergraduate students on their independent research projects which they later presented on or submitted for publication. It's always a great goal for anyone looking for research experience! I've also worked with high schoolers in developing their own research projects in environmental sciences. I'm passionate about giving people the tools to create new knowledge.

In my teaching and tutoring, I lean into what interests the student. Anything is data and so I encourage my students to study anything that catches their interest, whether it's the latest meme or their favorite TV show! I pride myself on engaging with and connecting with students and am confident in my ability to prepare anyone for college-level coursework.

Not only do I offer examples and exercises from my own coursework to improve your skills, but I'm happy to work with you on just general writing and critical reading tasks.
