"Nice to meet you, I’m Jason, and I’m committed to helping students master the SAT, ACT, math, writing, and history with personalized strategies and a results-driven approach. I’m currently set to study Computer Science and Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania, a unique combination that reflects my strong analytical skills and passion for critical thinking.
I scored a 1570 on the SAT on my first attempt, with a perfect 800 in math. While I didn’t take an official ACT since I had already reached my target score, I studied for both tests simultaneously and consistently scored 35s and 36s on practice exams. This firsthand experience allows me to teach the strategies that lead to top scores, including time management, recognizing test patterns, and tackling difficult math and reading questions..
Math and Science has always been a strong suit for me, and I’ve taken advanced courses beyond high school, including Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra through the University of Illinois(UIUC). I’ve also earned a 5 on AP Calculus BC, Physics 1 & 2, CSP, and CSA. Whether it’s algebra, calculus, or anything in between, I tailor my teaching style to fit each student’s needs, ensuring they gain the problem-solving skills necessary to succeed.
Beyond STEM, I have a deep passion for writing and history, shaped by years of debate at both the state and national level, where I qualified for Nationals as one of just 190 students in the country. I earned 5s on AP U.S. History and AP World History, further strengthening my ability to analyze historical themes and construct well-supported arguments. Through debate, I honed my skills in crafting persuasive essays, developing critical thinking, and articulating complex ideas—skills I now help students refine in their own work. Whether you need help structuring an argument, analyzing historical events, or improving your writing style, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s work together to achieve your academic goals!" less...
