I’m Jimmy! I’m excited to be a resource for any of your tutoring needs, including math, science, economics, computer science, accounting, statistics, and ACT Prep.

I graduated from the University of Virginia in the top 10% of my class with Phi Beta Kappa honors, holding degrees in economics and computer science. Now, I’m enrolled at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business here in Durham, NC.

I love tutoring. Following the pandemic, I ran a successful tutoring company teaching kids ranging from ages 7-16. I have experience teaching in groups, as well as one-on-one.

My teaching style is very flexible. I can hold lessons both on Zoom or in-person. I am willing to commute as well as meet in neutral meeting ground. Academic subjects taught include college-level calculus, statistics, economics, accounting, computer science, as well as AP-level Physics. Tutoring is available for the ACT as well. I scored a 35 in the 99th percentile, with perfect scores in Math and English.

Academic lessons are structured in line with material from courses held in universities, which I can provide. Lessons will offer both a focus on mastery of fundamentals, as well as problem-solving and real-world applications. For computer science lessons, we will be using an IDE to practice programming, with problems tailored to your skill level.

For ACT lessons, we will be reviewing test-taking strategy and taking timed practice tests. We will master the basic math concepts from which all Math Section questions are derived from, and apply them to different problem types in a timed setting.
