"Hi! My name is Valerie D. and I have taught at Estrella Mountain Community College for eight years. I enjoy helping those who need help in understanding Psychology and its functions. As I approach my internship towards my counseling career keeping my mind fresh with psychology theories and concepts, and my skills up in working to help others in their accomplishments provides an internal gratification through success.

My main experience is in teaching, however, if a concept needs more understanding I have no problems working on issues that may need more time. If you're a visual learner I have information from past books and classes along with movies or instructionals on how theories work. I also have PowerPoints to chapters if further instruction on a subject is needed. I enjoy reviewing over PowerPoint presentations, and have experience in APA writing.

Many of my students love the fact that I am a down to earth type of instructor. You can ask me any question and I will provide as much help as I can along with videos, tutorials, or PowerPoint chapters that elaborate over subject matter making it easier to understand. I do my best to provide real-life applications on various psychology topics to make the learner understand how theories are applied.

I will provide a basic overview of the vast and diverse disciplines of psychological science. No matter where you are in your education (& life), understanding the basic principles of psychology I will help you understand yourself and others better.
