"I can provide support on a variety of computer topics. I have been active in the computer hardware and software field for over 30 years. My background started before the PC was invented and ranges from DOS to Windows to Linux (multiple distributions) on the PC platform. I have worked with mainframe computers from the IBM System 360 to the current System Z series, typically performing operating system programming. On Digital Equipment's PDP-8, PDP-11, and VAX computers I have developed hardware interface boards and both operating system and application programs. On the VAX computer I have experience with both VMS and UNIX. I have also worked with circuit / board level designs for several microprocessors including embedded software on these platforms.
I am fluent in all of the Microsoft Office packages - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook. When making presentations I can help you use the tools as well as help you with the layout, the content, and the flow. Generally, we can work on whatever you need to improve your PowerPoint skills. I have been in both sales and marketing as well as manufacturing and engineering and have used all of these tools throughout my career.
For manufacturing applications I am familiar with NX and SolidWorks for mechanical applications and with OrCAD, gEDA and KiCAD for electrical applications.
