As of 2023, I completed my first year of student teaching in a High School environment. My students motivated me throughout the entire year to generate high quality lesson plans for each day of school. In the end, I received so many letters of appreciation for teaching their class! I love history and I love teaching it!

I graduated from Oakland University in Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Secondary Education. As stated, I am well versed in all forms of History, literacy skills, and political science! I am in the process of receiving my teaching certification for History and have received university endorsement. With my education, I have learned quick and effective skills to help with comprehension and skill improvement!

As an educator, I have the ability to draw out your misunderstandings and ensure you truly understand the content. I will close each tutoring session with a small assessment to ensure there are no misconceptions about the content or skill we cover. Other high leverage skills that I possess are dramatization through visual and verbal stimulus, skillful questioning techniques to help with understanding, and data analysis to ensure the student retains and understands information.
