"I have been teaching AP Government and Politics for over 20 years. In addition, I have been an AP Reader for more than 10 yrs. This means that I score the writing portion of the exam for the AP College Board. With this depth of understanding of what the College Board is expecting, I am able to hone your learning for more success on the AP Exam. I spend extra time focusing on the writing portion of the exam, as it makes up 50% of the exam.

I am certified to teach social sciences and political science. But AP Government is my passion. I have developed a plan on how to prepare my students for the exam with a focus on test literacy and writing. AP testing is a skill, many students have not been taught how to take a test. This a skill that I work through with the AP government material but can be a skill that can be used in all subjects.
