"My name is Matt, and I am a veteran History teacher of 25 years. I graduated from Taylor University with a BA in Social Studies/Secondary Education, and I then earned my Masters in Education from Spring Arbor University. I teach US History, AP US History, and AP European History, as well as many other elective classes, and have been the Social Studies Department Chairperson for over 23 years. I have also been an adjunct college instructor, teaching Geography and Civics/Government at Kirtland Community College, and a Social Studies Methods class for Spring Arbor University.

I feel very prepared to help students of any age with their History classes. In particular, I help students get ready for the AP History exams, and am confident that I could assist any student, whether in need of full instruction or just some tips to improve their odds. In addition, I enjoy helping students with their history essays. I have worked with college students in editing, proofreading, and assisting with clarity and thesis development.

I still teach full time, but am excited to be tutoring as well. I am eager to use my expertise and experience to help learners of any age. I am flexible in my approach, and am happy to accommodate to meet anyone's specific needs." less...
