"Saelim H. is originally from Seoul, South Korea. She began playing violin at the age of 4 and continued her music study through Pusan Arts High school. In 2002, Saelim enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Music with emphasis in violin at Pusan National University under Mrs. Young-hye Kim. Through her years as a student, Saelim also had the opportunity to perform as a concertmaster in Pusan Youth orchestra and involved in various ensembles.
In 2008, she came to United States to pursue a Master of Arts in Music Performance in Campbellsville University, which she completed in May of 2011 under Mr . Michael Davis (concertmaster of Louisville Orchestra) and she was a recipient of awards in recognition for exceptional achievement in Instrumental performance in 2009.
She had served as a concertmaster in KMEA Intercollegiate Orchestra in 2009 and currently serves in Campbellsville University Orchestra from 2010. Saelim also had the opportunity to perform either as a soloist or with ensembles in several cities in Kentucky. She is an acting member in orchestra of Kentucky Bowling Green and Owensboro symphony from 2013. Saelim is currently an adjunct Faculty at Campbellsville University (Campbellsville, KY - USA) and also teaching privately for youth in the area. She is married with a beautiful daughter." less...
